K1

The more things change, the more things stay the same.

We may all have grown up and set out on different adventures. We may have met new people and have done new things. We may have found love, gotten married, borne children. We may have had our hearts broken and mended. We may have not seen each other for eons and have collected volumes of stories. But then, we still find each other and return home.

The doors are still open. The smiles are still as bright. The shared laughter is still as resounding and hearty. The stories are still as vivid and exciting. But more importantly, the love and the friendship are still as strong, if not stronger.

Call me a sentimental fool, it doesn’t matter. I’m just grateful to be part of an amazing group of people put together and bonded under a letter and a number. While each of us has his or her share of quirks and idiosyncrasies, they just serve to make our group even greater, more vibrant, more fun. Our myriad personalities make for a wonderful cast of characters, after all.

It is thanks to these people for making life more pleasant, more blissful. It is thanks to them for serving as reminders that the world is actually bright and filled with loving and lovable individuals.

 Thank you all.

We are blockmates. We are friends. We are family. We are home. And home, as they say, is where the heart is.

 Welcome home.

  4. Aww... great piece, hehehe... =)

I was observing our group last night, and your lead can't be more fitting. We all met when we were all still rough and unpolished, and now, despite all the appearances and masks we've made for ourselves, in front of each other, we're all still the same old people. Home. It's where you become your true self, in spite of yourself. =)

  5. Thanks, Marela.

I guess we wouldn't be as comfortable being our true selves when we're around other people. Nakita na natin ang mga kalokohan natin nung mga nene at totoy palang tayo eh, ngayon pa ba tayo maglolokohan? hehe.
